Mackey Marianist Lectures:
Catholicism in Prophetic Dialogue
The Mackey Marianist Lectures are named after the late Fr. Robert Mackey, S.M., one of the founders and the first president of Chaminade University. Fr. Mackey dedicated his life to using his Christian and Marianist principles to making the world a better place for all -- especially for the poor and the marginalized. As a way of keeping that spirit alive the three institutions on the Kalaepohaku Campus (The Marianist Center of Hawai'i, Chaminade University and Saint Louis School) jointly sponsor this lecture series. Most of the lectures are free and are usually held on a Sunday afternoon in Mystical Rose Oratory at 4p.m. each academic semester or at 9a.m. on the first Saturday of November.
Richard P. Johnson, Ph.D., PCSG
