Workshop - March 10, 2012 - 9am to 3pm
Our God-ordained maturation process is not a "thief in the night," rather, it is one of the three "masters teachers" of life (the other two being relationships and sickness). Maturation is part of the living water that Christ promised to all of us when He spoke to the woman at the well. This program offers a new narrative of the second half of life as a grace-filled journey of strength that refreshes and renews your view of maturation (aging) from one of loss to one of "a crown of glory." You’ll learn the 12 essential “keys” of aging and spirituality that transform aging from a potentially dismal time, into an ageless soul-adventure. The program covers: maximizing the spiritual power of grace, living with verve, vitality, and new vigor, and finding enhanced spiritual meaning and purpose. This program is a life-changing experience … sure to completely transform the way you look at maturation and spirituality. The program is a “spiritual boost” especially for those who may question the purpose of maturation but who want to live “spiritually ageless” in the second half of life.
Mackey Lecture - March 11, 2012 - 4 to 5:30pm
Just like the woman with hemorrhage, we seek the power of Jesus to heal our brokenness in body, mind and/or spirit. Exciting changes are afoot in the healing ministries of the Church that are converging and forming a new coherence, a new healing coat of many colors available to us all. God has made each of us fresh, a new and one-of-a-kind image of the divine. This spiritual uniqueness is the foundation of our calling to seek God everywhere, and in so doing we gain new wisdom, new insight, new thinking… we are made brand new, just as Christ promised us. Dr. Johnson describes how to tap into the God-splendor in us personally, and how to use this grace in our quest for union with God and peace in our life right now.
